The BiD Model
WHY might we need the BEING-IN-DIALOGUE (BiD) Model
Introduction – the WHY
We live in a world of political instability, economic disparity and environmental crises, seemingly growing more chaotic and turbulent by the day. Unpredictability has become the order of the day. Everything around us seems to be in a state of continuous flux and change. As human beings we experience ourselves continuously striving and struggling to survive in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. VUCA (Casey, 2014) summarizes the critical state of current affairs on earth, which we can choose to shape or suffer, depending on how we navigate and live our daily experiences. The BiD Model suggests that sovereign human beings have agency in the spontaneous co-creation of a new and different future, through a self-prescribed practice of co-learning through engagement, reflection and integration of collective intelligence.
